1) Take three measurements inside of the window frame at the top, middle and bottom.
Use the Narrowest of the measurements, and round down to the nearest 1/8”.
2) Measure the height inside the window frame from the top to the bottom three times (Right, Left and Centre) and use the shortest of them to prevent them from resting on window sill (We add additional length to the blinds if you prefer for the blind to sit lower than the frame)
3) Finally measure the window diagonally both ways. If the measurements are significantly different, it might be necessary to order Blinds with outside mount for optimal privacy and light control. (These are very rare occurrences)
4) DO NOT TAKE ALLOWANCE. We have additional margins added so your blind sits freely in the window and operates correctly.
1) Measure the outermost point of the window that the blind will cover. We recommend at least an overlap of 1 1/2” on both sides for a total of 3” of total width.
2) We Recommend measuring the outside of the trim for an ideal look
3) Measure the Height from top of trim to bottom of window opening or where you would like the blind to reach (We mount above the trim and will add 3” to account for Cassette options) If you plan on mounting directly to the trim please make note on the measurements
